Innovating in Field of Work:
Weeks was inspired to create Billionclicks.org when she began an experiment after hearing that the average person thinks over 300 negative thoughts a day to count all her negative thoughts with a clicker. The awareness of her negative thoughts led her to feel more depressed. With that realization she began counting her positive thoughts instead and found herself to be happier. BillionClicks.org is a community promoting positive thinking for a better world.
Impact:
• Weeks’ most recent album “Every Step” charted as on the top 10 Billboard Contemporary Christian Chart. She also charted #1 on Billboard 200 on the New Artist Album Charts.
• She performs in front of 10,000+ people annually.
• BillionClicks.org currently has over 4.5 million clicks.
Role Model:
Hilary speaks to teen girls (ages 12-18) all over the country as part of the Time Out for Girls tour, a two day conference of music and presenters that give girls time to create a deeper connection with themselves and with God. She is a mother to 4 daughters.
Reinvention / Momentum:
In the past decade, Weeks has created the BillionClicks.org community and set the goal to become a top performer on the Billboard Contemporary Christian Chart, an accomplishment no one had previously achieved at her record label, and was able to achieve that goal in 2011. She also became an author in 2009 when she wrote her first book and recently published her second book.
“If someone had told me after I wrote my first song, that I would someday release multiple CDs I wouldn’t have believed them.
I never had dreams or plans of becoming a singer or songwriter. I just liked music. I loved it. It was just that simple.”
