Bio:
McCall is the Co-Managing Partner, AAFCPAs, a best-in-class CPA and consulting firm known for assurance, tax, accounting, and business & IT advisory solutions, and also the founder of their Women’s Opportunity Network, a platform to address challenges, educate and elevate awareness of women’s challenges in the workplace. She is a regular contributor to the Worcester Business Journal on subjects related to business management and work/life balance solutions.
Disruption:
McCall is an advocate for women and a paver of their paths to leadership. Her work has contributed to an increase of female leadership at AAFCPAs from 25% in 2011 to 48% currently. Her work with SheGives Boston is directed at pooling resources committed by successful women and directing the funds to nonprofit organizations with social missions, including Music & Youth, Silver Lining Mentoring, and Science Club for Girls.
Mentorship:
She recruits, mentors and works to retain women so that they can thrive in the traditionally male dominated public accounting field. McCall has been awarded the ATHENA Leadership Award (2016), the Women Up Leadership Award and Women to Watch Leadership Award (2013); and is the recipient of the inaugural Harry C. Bentley Award for Alumni Achievement honoring creative, ethical and socially responsible organizational leadership.
What’s Next:
McCall is participating in the launch of an innovation council to leverage the greater technical skills of young professionals to solve industry-wide problems and promote nimble adaptation to the evolving business landscape. She’s also part of the sandwich generation, seeking solutions for work/life balance for those who care for elderly parents while at the same time raising children.
By nurturing and embracing innovation we can work smarter (not harder) and positively influence how leadership makes decisions in an increasingly technological and data-driven business environment.
