Bio:
Molina Niño is the CEO and Founder of BRAVA Investments, her latest iteration as a serial entrepreneur; she began her first tech startup at the age of 20. She previously served as the launch CEO of SELF MADE (company, mobile app, learning platform, and NY Times Best Selling book by Nely Galán), with the objective to enable more women to become entrepreneurs. She is also a co-founder of Entrepreneurs@Athena at the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College.
Disruption:
BRAVA targets its investments in high-growth businesses providing excellent returns for long-view investors while measurably improving the lives of women, irrespective of its founders’ gender.
Role Model:
Nathalie is passionate about creating catalytic change for women everywhere. She is a Founding Advisor at Entrepreneurs@Athena, an organization designed to support women of all ages and expertise through their entrepreneurial journeys, to provide internships and hands-on work experience, and to provide resources and mentorship for women who have or are launching their own ventures. In addition, BRAVA Investments has partnered with the United State of Women Galvanize Program to support women as they rise up and step into their power as entrepreneurial leaders.
What’s Next:
Molina Niño wants BRAVA Investments to become the Berkshire
Hathaway for women by reimagining the concept of ‘investing in women’ to be more inclusive of diverse demographics rather than the current focus on white women, and women on every rung of the ladder, not just women in the C Suite. Molina Niño wants to grow BRAVA Investments and take it public to democratize the driving ideas behind it and to ensure that investors know that BRAVA will always do right by women worldwide.
In times like these, as a Latina investor and a child of immigrants, I think it’s important to continue to show how we immigrants, in the words of Lin-Manuel Miranda, get the job done.
